Happy Friday!!!!
First off… what do you think? After three years (ish) I’ve changed up the look of my site. AND I’m not done yet.
New branding is coming soon. A totally new look and I couldn’t be more excited.
As I’ve grown as an author, so have my books. They’ve ‘matured’ over the years, both in content and their characters. My previous branding screams young adult and if you’ve read any of my releases this year, you know I’m not writing YA anymore. I want something that represents me better and in a few months, I will.
I couldn’t wait to update my site, though. I had a meeting with a media firm to have them give me a fresh new look and make some changes. Their prices were higher than I was willing to pay (by thousands) so I came home and did it myself. In about two hours. I kind of feel like I saved thousands. And I like it so I hope you do too.
What else is on the horizon?
Sooooo many fun things…
- NaNoWriMo starts in 19 days! (I already have a game plan)
- Book of the Month starts in January (join my reader group to learn more and participate)
- Caught in the Storm releases in March/April (read the synopsis below)
Oooooh!
I made this really cool series bible the other day. Inspired by Misty Provencher, my hope is that it will help me be better organized for the TRILOGY I’m writing next year. Check this out… I LOVE IT!!!
All you need to make one for yourself is a notebook (or planner) that has the ability to remove and add pages. Misty uses a Happy Planner, I bought a TuL notebook. Because I didn’t use a planner that already had dividers in it, I added some Avery tabs as my dividers. Then, all that color is Washi tape. I ran it along the edges of my plot pages to keep each plot point separated. Plus, I LOVE the color.
I’m not done with mine yet. There are still a few things I need to add to it and bit more organizing I want to do. Then… to fill it out. Misty swears by her Series Bibles. She says it helps her remember details better and I’m hoping it will do the same for me. Especially since I’m one of those people that can remember random s**t from 10 years ago that doesn’t matter anymore but I can’t remember details of a conversation I have with my husband ten minutes after we have it.
This annoys him. A lot.
Anyway, that’s my updates for now. My new look, my new book, and my new process.
Have a great weekend!!!

Caught in the Storm – Coming Spring 2019
When love turns to hate and you’re not sure who you can trust to help you escape alive…
Trapped.
In this life. This sham of a marriage.
All I wanted was to be noticed. When he walked into the bar that night and our eyes connected, the world around me disappeared. He was sexy, exuded confidence and wealth and was kind to me.
That was why I fell for every word that slipped pasts his lips. Every promise. Every sinfully sweet compliment. And every lie.
And I fell hard.
He was a Senator. A man of power. A man who took control of what he wanted. No one said no to him. No one questioned him. And I fell in love fast – with him and the life he promised to provide.
So here I am. Married to one of the most powerful men in the state of Texas and there’s no way out.
I tried to leave once and he swore he would kill me if I ever tried again. But if I stay… I have a feeling he might do it anyway.
