As a reader AND a writer this concerns me. I don’t often review books because I don’t get a chance to read as much as I used to. When I do, I would expect that Amazon would allow me to review my purchases, no matter how well I know the authors. After all, they send me reminder emails, asking to review their products, for all my other purchases.
Amazon… A virtual marketplace, or Big Brother?.

I think Amazon, Facebook and other sites are very in tune with what their customers want through data mining. What we buy and see helps them push content to us. It’s interesting to see how far they go and its a little scary though.
